LUMO fNIRS is a wearable high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) system that combines the spatial resolution benefits of DOT with a lightweight, fibreless, modular design. Unlike conventional fNIRS systems, LUMO offers faster setup, improved participant comfort, and scalable whole-head brain imaging.

LUMO fNIRS is designed for neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, infant research, clinical studies, hyperscanning, neuroergonomics, and real-world brain imaging. Its wearable design also makes it ideal for movement-based experiments, VR studies, home-based research, and multimodal studies with EEG or eye tracking.

LUMO fNIRS features a modular tile architecture with up to 162 light sources, 216 detectors, and over 7,000 measurement channels in typical whole-head configurations. It supports imaging speeds of up to 12.5 frames per second, includes integrated IMUs for motion tracking, and delivers spatial resolution comparable to fMRI while remaining lightweight and wearable.
